Estado de Encuentro is a strategy of “doing”.

State of Encounter is a sort of devices for recognizing and challenging the bodies, affections and our daily configurations, granting them the value of "elements" for a contributory practice.

It is a processual practice of looking, restraining, externalizing, listening and (de)composing through small phrases (not spoken but phrases taken as psychophysical and pre-expressive correlation modes). It focuses basically on criticizing and interlinking the potential of the operations and the apparatus from the body with certain oscillations of the material on space and time.

Perhaps is also a simple and restless resistance against the homogeneity of our socio-cultural remnants.

This method, activated by "phrases" towards a collaborative process of creation, poses a way of capturing a form of thought-action where individuals trans-individuate (Simondon). This makes it possible to release or unleash “thinking” through circuits of “doing”:

The individualities that exist in the "artists" are blurred with the actions woven and shared. Transindividuation. It is not the action itself but what is happening with the Other. Provoke feeding with the expectation of variation of the Other.

Interplay of phrases with materials from different dimensions.

The autopoiesis of doing and thinking.

How does this relate to life outside of practice?

"The space of an exchange of objects, phrases and materials is a space to see, not to interpret. And this seeing is a “desire”, that should transgress the material and the energies that demand a discharge or retention .. What matters is not so much the capacity to create or reproduce, for example images, but rather to maintain a level of contributive oscillation between what I "want" and what the exchange per se demands. "

As a study on the practice of the State of Encounter, we propose this Workshop / Conference to all those who intend to join a relational contribution process, where the gestures, thoughts, images and objects enhance a field of collective activity that has as provocation and essential question:

Is there a minimum gesture as a way to resist?
